Creator of BIRTH IN MOTION, ANNE SOBOTTA developed the concept of Prenatal and Postpartum Somatics.
Anne is a visionary and sensitive mentor who inspires innovation in birthcare and advocates for a somatic approach that understands the psycho-neuroendocrine processes in human pregnancy. Anne provides physiological support during pregnancy and postpartum through movement and mind-body practices.
An activist in the humanization of childbirth and birth since the 2000s, ANNE SOBOTTA has become an expert in her field. Her Prenatal Yoga Teacher training is well known for training hundreds of professionals in Brazil and Portugal between 2012 and 2019. In 2020, the course was updated and expanded, ultimately changing its name to PRENATAL SOMATICS TEACHER TRAINING.
For more than 17 years Anne has been conducting evolving interdisciplinary research, investigating biological, cultural, social and historical factors that influence the process of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.
This investigation is nourished by interactions with women who are literally creating life, as well as exchanges with national and international birthcare and movement professionals. Anne has maintained working relationships with international childbirth and perinatal care experts such as Janet Balaskas, among others.
